Last week, we attended an event organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Ukraine. The event brought together LGBTQ+ activists, human rights organizations, and allies to strengthen cooperation and reinforce the joint struggle for equal rights.
During the meeting, special attention was given to discussing the new Civil Code and advocating for changes. We would like to remind you that the draft of the new code violates the rights of trans people and stipulates that marriages to trans people who have transitioned will be automatically annulled. In addition, it stipulates that relationships can only be between people of different sexes.
