Yesterday, May 5, more than 1,000 people took to the streets in Kyiv to protest the new Civil Code. Our organization also joined the peaceful protest to stand together with everyone else in declaring that discrimination, restrictions on freedom of speech, and corruption have no place in Ukraine. We would also like to remind you that the bill includes a provision that would annul the marriages of trans people who have transitioned. This is absolutely unacceptable—the marriages of trans people are legal!
